Sponsor a Spay/Neuter Clinic
Every year, our shelter takes in between 10,000-12,000 homeless pets, many of which are puppies and kittens from an unplanned litter. Even with our low cost clinic, many families live paycheck to paycheck, and, although they can afford to feed their pet, they cannot afford any extra cost....like spay/neuter surgery for their pet.
By SPONSORING A SPAY/NEUTER CLINIC, you will be playing a huge part in helping us reduce the number of abandoned and unwanted pets. Female dogs can have as many 12 puppies per litter; just one dog can easily produce 100 puppies in their lifetime....and that's just ONE dog! Imagine how many puppies could be produced by hundred of unspayed dogs; cats are even MORE prolific than dogs!
For $1200, you can help us cut those numbers and make sure no puppy or kitten will be left alone, unwanted and forgotten because a dog or cat was not "fixed'. $1200 will sponsor a clinic and allow families in need to have their pets altered totally free; the only costs to owners will be a $10 rabies vaccine (if they are currently unvaccinated) and any extras they choose to get for their pet.
Numbers of pets "fixed" will vary based on what pets register for services, but every pet spayed or neutered will be one less pet giving birth to an unplanned (and normally unwanted) litter. You can even choose to sponsor a targeted clinic to help us truly reach those most in need. Many sponsors choose to fund Cat Clinics, Pitbull Clinics or Big Dog Clinics; whichever you choose will make a huge difference.
