If you are looking to fulfill community service hours, there is no need to complete the volunteer application. You may visit the shelter any day, starting at 9:00 AM until closing hours. Please bring your school or court documentation indicating the number of hours required, and inform the receptionist that you are here to fulfill community service hours. If the door is locked, kindly knock, and someone will assist you as soon as possible.

Community service participants will not be directly handling animals. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, cleaning crates, sorting newspaper, assisting with laundry, performing general cleaning tasks, and bagging food. Please note, you may be required to stand for extended periods of time.

​* If you are completing community service as part of a school-based program, you may have the opportunity to spend your final hour interacting with cats!
